There are no known recordings of Buddy Bolden and there is only one photograph but he is credited with creating "The Big Noise" that evolved into Jazz.
Of course, this cornetist was from New Orleans.
Jazzonthetube.com has posted a Buddy Bolden documentary to honor the first man to really blow his horn.
