Once upon a time, there was NUMBER PLACE. It was featured monthly in a magazine that specialized in math puzzles. However, non-readers of
DELL Math & Logic Puzzles were oblivious to the existence of NUMBER PLACE. But then this puzzle truly went global when it was re-named
Sudoku.
It has been said that the children's game of HOPSCOTCH has waned in popularity since the advent of video games. Maybe the game should be re-branded, just as the dull-named "Number Place" puzzle was. The people at "Cheap Puns R Us" have suggested a new name for HOPSCOTCH.
Let's call it–with a long "i"–
Sidwoko.
