Man Ray, Calla Lillies, 1931

Photograph: Sotheby's

In 1931, Diego Rivera & Frida Kahlo built a home/studio in Mexico.

It has been said that Man Ray's photograph was a house warming gift to the couple.

The Godfather of Calla Lilies expressed his appreciation succinctly.
Diego said: Thank you, Manny.

Mrs. Godfather of Calla Lilies
Frida said: I love the whispering yellow tint, Ray. Muy gracias.
But do you possibly have a print with a louder yellow tint?

Not ART DAILY but a cat named Zelda assumes full responsibility for the preceeding text,
the Sotheby link notwithstanding.
