Did he really say that?

Caryl, Is That You?

In the human race
Book of Everything
Birds & bees,
Man & wife
Could all sing

In the human race
Book of Everyone
There was you
There was me
There was fun

But what was
Is no more is
All
Of the universe
Is now his.

Humanity is gone
From the Race
Tweet is loud
In every place
With but a
Face

Makeover
A new look
All you need
Is
Facebook

Mark
These
Words

-Carl Hobbes

The poem was written by CARYL-without-the-Y...The highlight is mine.

The meaning of the poem--to me--is obvious: Caryl is angry because the Lewis Carroll School alum with the deepest pockets will no longer contribute funds to the school.

"No longer contribute" is the operative expression. For at least five years, Mr. Zuckerberg & Facebook were extremely generous to the coffers of the Lewis Carroll School of Logic.

But all good things come to an end.
