parted in 1967...
as these two people approached
the Monterey stage,
it was because the white boy
was a Rolling Stone:
BRIAN JONES.
He was about to introduce
a band virtually unknown
to American audiences.
But that would change immediately after
the JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE performed at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival.
Jimi made love to his guitar during a performance of Wild Thing.
Shortly after the festival ended,
there was a sitar-guitar jam session...
featuring Jimi Hendrix & Brian Jones.
